West Region Self Advocacy is a network for local self-advocacy groups in Western Massachusetts to work together. Self advocates meet to share their experiences and work on projects. West Region is one of five regions in Massachusetts. Self advocates in the west region are part of the statewide board, Massachusetts Advocates Standing Strong.

In order to meet the needs of the self advocates in our region, we developed a mission statement. Our mission is as follows:

“West Region Self Advocacy is a team of local self advocates working together to promote education, equal rights, responsibility and informed choice for people with disabilities to live full lives in the community.” (2014)
